HI Everyone,

I saw some posts about moms in the DFW area wanting to get together and thought I would jump right in. My daughter has graduated from her band but we still enjoy meeting with others who are at various stages of this journey. Not to scare anyone, but the journey doesn't stop when the band comes off, or at least it hasn't for us. My hubby and I are planning on trying to get together with another graduate and his mommy (Jill and ) during the week of the 6th - 10th of September. We usually meet in Dallas at the Valley View Mall, but are up to meeting pretty much wherever. The mall has a geat play area for the kiddos and usually isn't too swamped with older kids. We live in a small town about 90 miles west of Dallas, but we seem to find ourselves in the DFW area a lot, so whatever is open for anyone is usually fine with us.....anyways just thought I would put

the offer out there. Anyone can e-mail me personally if they would like.

Hi ,

I'm a frequent poster and reader on the CT website, so I've seen you

there too.

OOOHHHHHH, how I would LOVE to meet up with other parents!!! The

problem is that we live nearly 4 hours South of Dallas, and so our

journey is up and back all in one day. We go up for the appt, have

lunch while the kids stretch thier legs, and then we're on the road

again. 8 hours on the road....FUN!! We got stuck in the rain a couple

weeks back, and our 4 hour trip was up to 6, and then being stuck in

6 weather related accidents didn't help or make it any

easier....especially on the kids. We made it back home at 6 p.m, and

had left at 7 a.m that morning. LONG DAY!!

We still have about 14 more weeks in the band. Hopefully one of

these times we can all get together. Thanks for posting!!

I would love to meet other parents. I live in Tulsa and I have never

even seen another kid in a band... We are getting treatment in Dallas

and I am amazed with how many people seem to know what the band is

about.

Anyway, My appointments are on Friday at CT and I usually spend

either the night before or the night after. If you get together

Thursday afternoon, Friday, or Saturday, please let me know. I always

get my hotel on Priceline (4 star in N. Dallas for $45) and they

usually put me in the new Hilton Suites Galleria which is right by

Valley View Mall so that would be great.

Let me know when you guys have a plan. Please don't change your plans

based on my schedule-- I go down alone with 5 mo twins and my 2 yr

old son. It is a handful. Somehow, I get to the appointments, but

beyond that, calling me flakey would be generous.
