Jen,This was speculation on my part, based on the fact that we've had some good result with SSRI prescribed after establishing and stablizing an effective type and dosage of anti-viral. The other key is getting the right SSRI. Perhaps prozac was not the right one for your child. We started with Paxil, and it was clear that it was not the right one, so we were switched to Celexa and are seeing the benefit that was clearly not there with the Paxil. Tammy Re:Dr. Goldberg

Could this be why Prozac was a dud for my son? Which anti-virals work to supress Measles? That is the issue for us. We have high titers, which is not surprising because I was given a measles vaccine when I was pregnant.

I don't think Herpes viruses are an issue for us. We have taken Lysine, but don't see any positive or negative difference when it is discontinued. No history of cold sores or rashes. I caught chicken pox at 30 years old because I was never vaccinated for it. My son (8 yrs old at the time) did not catch it from me, I guess because he had the Varicella vaccine.
