Guest guest
Hi Mike... wow, you've been a very busy person. I think you need a vacation and I know just the place... how about San Diego in Oct. Oh boy, just in time for the conference. Cheri and I will split our cake with you (and others).... Yes, my appt. is on Tuesday and it's in beautiful La Jolla... which is in San Diego. That will be the last of the tests.... at least that's what I was told... but that too can change .... One bad thing about getting the tests, both are downstairs and I have to walk right past the Dinning room. They have great food and I try to stay away. Just the smell alone drives me nuts. I need a patch of some sort. So, explain Canada Day to me..... Vicki
Guest guest
Sorry I am slow in writing but seems that I apparently picked up a bad germ at the hospital last Friday and now have the worst sore throat and run down feeling known to man (or woman!!). Am at work righ now as I dont have any sick time built up but am counting down the minutes to 2:00 so I can go home and crawl into bed !!! As for the colonoscopy.....it was a breeze. That is, not coutning Thursday afternoon and evening !! Ill tell you that drinking that colyte is the most awful tasting stuff on the planet !! Then I find out Friday that they make it in pill form !!! Granted you must swallow 40-60 pills but Id much rather do that than drink that stuff !! Ill know better next time. The procedure itself as I said was a breeze. I was out for a little over an hour and he removed a few polyps. I was told that everything else looked normal and he should have the results of the procedure in 7 - 10 days. Left the hospital (starving) and went to Roadhouse for a huge salad for lunch. That didnt do the trick so later Friday night hubby and I went with friends to Longhorn for steak and taters !!! I was quite the happy camper by that point !!! 48 hours with no food makes for one mean !!! Thanks to all for your prayers and support. I wont be so scared next time !!! Guest guest
Great news! And sorry about the sore throat. If you were intubated, sometimes that can cause the problem, too. Don't worry -- only 43 minutes to bedtime. Nice to hear from you again. Mike B

Guest guest
:-) It's so nice to have your sassy attitude back in the group!! We've missed your sense of humor, girl :-) I'll be sending this Dr. Hasslebring some good vibrations so she will agree to give you the Minocin. Let us know how it goes.......I'll be in Omaha for a week starting on that day, so if you don't hear from me, that's where I'll be. Glad to hear that your colonoscopy went well. I know my turn is coming and you can bet I'll scream for the pills!! Thanks for the tip, I wish they had given them to you, though. Sending hugs and good thoughs, Connie From: catzmeowz@... Guest guest
Thanks ! I bet your husband doesn't miss the winters in Nebraska!! We get winter up here in Washington, but they don't drag on and on like in Nebraska. My son will graduate from there in December (and all of us will be going for the ceremony.......ew! Omaha in December?!) Take care of yourself and also the group while I'm gone, OK? I know you'll keep everyone smiling :-) --Connie Re: What? Me Lurk? Thanks Conie and enjoy your vacation !!!
