Guest guest
Hi Connie, Sometimes, I experience sensations like that. Not just in my legs though. I don't have an MS diagnosis. This morning, I woke up and could barely stand up. My legs, especially my thighs, were aching so badly as if I'd gone hiking in the hills for 50 miles. I can't hike the way I used to, but I've never been able to hike for 15 miles let alone 50. Yesterday, I didn't go walking at all. Two days in a row, when I went to the convenience store, my knees gave out on me. I don't know what causes the weakness that I experience. The neurologist that I saw...I don't remember when... said that my symptoms are probably just random symptoms, even if they occur regularly. Guest guest
Connie, I have been diagnosed w/ RRMS for over 2 1/2 years and I have that feeling in my right calf often and complained to my 1st neuro about it and he told me that he had heard of similar complaints and offered it up to the mysterious ways of MS. For me, it seems that every month, or week I have a new weird symptom that will pop up, stay for awhile and go away. Most of my troubles come at night when I'm trying to sleep or if I overdo it during the day and that " cold-knot " feeling " in my calf happens mostly at night or if I've been on my feet alot. I'm extremely heat sensitive (I was just reading a post about you all talking about that) and sometimes I want to use heat to help w/ my aches and pains because I just think that it would feel so good, but the min. I get heated up I'm down for the count. It's hard for me to manage my symptoms because I'm so hard headed and forgetful so I think I can go and go and I forget to take meds when I'm supposed to, but I know that when I DO stop myself and MAKE myself relax, my symptoms do get alittle better. I hope I helped some Connie and I hope you are feeling better! -Andi Jo > > I am having a deep cold feeling in my calf. Guest guest
Thanks for all the replies. The cold pain in my calf is still there but now I am not as freaked out about it. When you know other MSers have similar symptoms, it takes some of the worry away. I am having a few twinges and symptoms here and there after many months of nothing. I have had a mountain of stress lately with my mom sick, a new job, my son’s wedding, another son graduating college, moving home and interviewing for a job overseas, a third son jobless at home and a teenager. Wow as I write this I am feeling more stressed than before J Hopefully the stress and symptoms will ease up soon.
