We have an RV. We bought it so I could have a kitchen and bathroom

when I travel. Now I found out I have chiemical sensitivity so the

amount of formaldehyde in ours is troublesome. We are remodeling it

with safer materials now to try to get me back into it.

They are not as well made as vehicles........the roof leaked and we

had mold issues to solve in the walls, etc ....and they are a fair

amount of work to maintain. I am sensitive to propane which was also a

problem.

That said, we are glad that we have it. We have owned it for two and a

half years but always balk on big vacations because of the gas prices.

They are not too fuel efficient.

Summary

pros: more freedom on SCD and with UC (similar)

cons: a lot of work, $$$ in gasoline and upkeep

If I could go back I am not sure we would still invest but now that we

mostly own it, we could not get our investment back out if we sold.
