Margy, I think what they meant is that Dylan's head did not grow

much at all. It was measurable. If it grew, it was less that 1/8

of an inch because that's the smallest measurement mark on the

tape. The orthotist said that all growth would be concentrated in

the flat area. In Dylan's case, his head is flatter on the back

right side. My sister has an 8 month old boy and his head is in the

5th percentile for growth. They've done some reading on

microcephaly but he hasn't been formally diagnosed. Is microcephaly

diagnosed based on the size and/or rate of growth? My sister has

been very concerned about it but the doctors are worried about it.

Are there any long-term effects (developmentally, etc)? I would

love to share some info with her on that. She trusts her doctor,

but as we ALL know, they're not always right and they can often

overlook serious things. Thanks for the response!
