Congrats!

I also just had a similar post in that I noticed the exact same

things going on w/ my Jaden, he has things popping out on the bottom

of the back of his head but not the top of the back of his head,

just like what you described. So I am hoping there is more

correction to come. He also started his CranioCap 4/23, so we are

similar in our dates. Jaden has been in his for 3 weeks now.

At least you are starting to see something happening now, so yey!

Hello Deb

Great to hear about . Growth occurs from the bottom up, so

naturally the bottom is the first to correct and the top will

follow. 5wks isn't that much time. Willow was only banded for

10wks all in all so 3months to go is still alot of correction time.

Good luck and keep us up on his progress. Oh and I loved to

decorate the band. I do believe that here in Germany we were the

only family that had the band decorated. lol We didn't see anything

but white bands on adj days.

I second Sandy's comment about the growth pattern---The clinician at

CT in Connecticut told me that the growth (or " filling in " ) goes

bottom up and from the middle over toward the ears (same pattern at

the front of the head). I was kind of alarmed by this at first

because although we were seeing a lot of change in my daughter's head

shape, the growth pattern almost makes her look worse to me at

times. I think that is because as the middle/bottom rounds out it

has accentuated her flatness toward the top and side!!! Just

an " optical illusion " !
