Guest guest
Probably one of the best casein free butter products is the unheated Green Pasture high vitamin butter oil. It also contains the Price factor, which is an unusual fat soluble factor, more powerful than Vitamin A or D, and works in conjunction with Vitamin A and D particularly in regards to influence on gene expression. When Dr. Weston A Price visited the Loentschal Valley of Switzerland, high in an unusually inaccessible area of the Alps, he found them particularly respectful of their nearly orange spring butter. It was obtained from the animals that grazed on fast growing green spring grass shoots beside melting glaciers on the Alpine slopes. The pastor in the community gathered his flock for a special thanksgiving service for this butter when this dark color appeared. They brought huge bowls of butter with candles in them to the service to give thanks. And then they gave it to the reproducing mothers, parents, and the children. Athletes were given bowls of cream at the athletic events, and they were known among the competitors for their prowess. Dr. Price studied the butter in his lab and found this as yet unknown factor in it now called the Price factor. He had butter samples sent every 2 weeks from around the world and found that this factor was seasonal, ie appeared in the spring and fall when there was plenty of rain and sunshine and the young shoots of grass were growing quickly. It disappeared during times of drought, (mid summer) and of course, winter. Soil fertility and other environmental factors also determined whether this elusive substance showed up in the milk. Dr. Price made a casein free butter oil out of this spring butter by centrifuge. In his experiments with it, particularly combined with with fermented cod liver oil (another sacred food), some lives were actually saved when the oils were administered together. Dr. Price travelled all over the world and found that all the healthy cultures he studied had sacred foods, The foods were different, but they all had certain things in common. Usually they were fatty foods such as spring butter, fermented cod liver oil, fish roe, certain fatty deposits in certains parts of the animals they consumed, and others. And many of them did contain this factor only at certain seasons. The traditional peoples knew when to hunt or consume these foods in order to get maximum nutritional value. And when questioned why these foods were so special, particularly for young couples, and children, they ALL replied. "So we can have healthy babies", (and children). Dr. Price found 11 commonalities in the practices of every healthy culture he visited. Many people today are going back to those 11 commonalities to rebuild a basically firm, nutrient dense foundation that will augment any other treatment undertaken. (NOTE: Some of these practices may need to be tweaked due to individual needs, such as gluten free, etc.) For more info on this incredibly foundational research by Dr. Price, go to www.WestonAPrice.org and take the tour offered on the home page, right side. The butter oil is available at www.greenpasture.org It can be purchased as a spreadable oil, like butter, or with natural flavors or in caps. It also can be purchased in combination with a special fermented cod liver oil for maximum benefit. Groups can purchase in qauantities for discounts. NOTE 2: The Green Pasture fermented cod liver oil is the only oil we know of that retains the natural vitamin a and d from the fish liver. All other brands remove the natural vitamins with the contaminants and toss in (usually) synthetic vitamins to replace them. Some use natural sources like lanolin, but none have the real fish vitamin components. This fermented oil from specially obtained "clean" livers, is prepared the old traditional way and retains a lot of probiotic and countless other benefits. No financial interest here at all. These are just standard items for many families today who participate in the Weston Price movement/lifestyle.
