Guest guest
Clara, did you know that Sears came out with a old fashioned looking radio that holds a CD player, Tape cassette player, 45 record player and the 33 1/3 player? My next door neighbor bought one last year. It looks all wood and it is not huge either. It plays all the old stuff on it. I can not remember if it had an 8 track on it. I really don't think it was very expensive. I think it was like a 300.00 maybe less. A freind of mine has hundreds of the big albums for sale. They are a lot of the old country stars. Great going on the turtle. I wished I could have turtled but I had a gain. I will just have to try harder next week. Have a great weekend. Guest guest
Pepper, I have seen the old fashioned radios like you described, but since I have a big huge Magnavox entertainment center that I paid a fortune for many years ago - and it has all of the things in it except for a CD, I guess I'll stick with it. I have a portable player for my CDs, so I guess I have all I need. My grandparents had an old battery operated table-top radio that I would have loved to "inherit", but, unfortunately, all the grandkids that lived nearby got all of their furniture and everything they wanted, and my brother and I, who lived 500 miles away, got zilch!! My grandmother had an old camel-back trunk that was to die for, but nobody asked me if I'd like to have it! LOL Hope you have a great weekend, too - - - and a good week and a good loss this coming week. Know you are glad to be home - - - there's just no place like home, is there???
