Guest guest
Abruptly stopping prednisone is a VERY dangerous. It could also cause the severe flare that you are having now. Just please be careful and at least call and talk to your doctor. When you separate or divorce, I thought it was also important to run an ad in the local paper stating that you are no longer responsible for any debt incurred by your spouse. This protects you if he goes and runs up bills on credit cards that were in both your names. I agree with what someone else said, that you are at least entitled to half the equity in your home and child support. I hope that you got those. Gentle hugs, Fern
Guest guest
Fern.... Since I had already established credit in my name before I married my ex, I kept my maiden name and all my own credit cards. In my divorce the attorney ran ad but it didn't stop my ex from already taking out DUPLICATE cards that were in my name. For two years I had no idea he was using my credit cards until he stopped paying on them. The bills for more than $25,000. were bounced back to me. That's when #$%^ hit the fan, if you know what I mean. Since he was using the cards a year before and a year after our divorce the credit card companies felt I was responsible for the debt because I should have known. Plus he signed my name, very well I might add. We went to one court hearing after another. Now, 11 yrs later, I still get my credit reports every 6 months to make sure he hasn't done anything. That little add in the paper doesn't do diddley squat all by itself! Another friend of mine who has moved out of the state of Calif. decided after 5 yrs of being divorced to check her credit report. I got a call from her and she was blazing mad. Her ex was using one of her cards, and had run up $10,000. Had she not taken the time to check her credit report she would have never known. And her ex is a Highway Patrol man. Deneen, just cover your fanny.... Vicki
Guest guest
Vicki, that's terrible!!!!!!!!! I have a feeling you've really been through a lot of "experiences." But look at you now......I'd say you're definitely a survivor. Take care, Connie Re: Prednisone/Deneen Fern.... Guest guest
LOL... Your right Connie... I've come from the land of hard knocks..... but you live and learn. My friends tell me I'm too much a softy.... I'm the one who will help any one at any time... then can't figure out why I got walked all over. I've only had one individual that I tried to help really take advantage of me in the wrong way.....she tried to steal one of my horses.... Now, you can do anything to me but you touch my animals and I go NUTS! I was calling the police as I was driving down the road looking for the trailer. It takes a lot for me to get mad but she really pushed me. I got my mare back and she went to jail. This gal was going to sell my baby for $500. HA! She was sentenced to 5 yrs in the pokey. I would like to say I'm much wiser now but than again, I don't live in an area where people come and go. I'm a hermit now and I love it. Take care, Vicki
