Hi everyone......You are all mentioning singers I like. I love all kinds of music, in fact I collect cds and have a large variety of it all old and new....country, rock , you name it. I also enjoy seeing artist sing, bands, concerts, etc.....music is my hobby, collecting, listening,etc....I love talking about it too....if you can't already tell....lol. I wanted to let you all know that our chapter election went great. I was worried about nothing. We have all of the same officers again.....they all do a great job and all decided to keep their officer positions, so they were nominated again.....yea. I turtled tonight, I'll take it, I thought I was going to gain. But I have to do better though because last week i gained. So my plan this week is to really try harder and get motivated more.....good luck this coming week to everyone and congratulations on your losses....Tops Love, Dee

Clara, I liked to hear "Whispering Bill " & Jim Reeves sing love songs also.

Really, Jackie - - we do seem to have a lot in common. Sometimes I see your comments here on the loop, and I think, "That's how I feel, too, - - or that's just what I think", and a couple of times I've noticed that we answered somebody's question or comment the exact same way! Oh well, I've heard that Great Minds Think Alike. LOL

Yes, time is getting short before SRD gets here - and If I don't get more serious, I'm not going to make it to 5# below goal by then!! I've been good this week with my eating and exercise, but my scale this morning was not showing a loss! My scale is about a pound off from the one at the meeting, so I'm thinking I'll be lucky if I can pull out a turtle!!!

Speaking of favorite singers - - - my all time favorite was Marty Robbins (who probably never heard of) - and I LOVE Gene (and I'd bet not many know who he is) - - - but nobody has ever sang love songs like those two could! I got to see Marty Robbins once at the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville, and I can still visualize him sitting at the piano with his eyes close singing, "Lord, This Time You Gave Me a Mountain" - - - makes me want to go dig out my old cassette tapes and listen again!

Oh well - - - Enough "Chatty " here - - - - I've gotta get busy on my weekly newsletter that I do for my TOPS group - - - it will be meeting time here in a little while!!

Yes I love music too! I listen to all types of music and I found a radio station

online (202 FM) that plays anything you want to hear, 24/7, with no commercials.

It's awesome! I listen to it every day at work and it makes my day go by so much

quicker. Yesterday I listened to COUNTRY. Today I'm going to listen to DANCE or

TOP 40 HITS. They have everything. I get it through my radio station guide on

Windows XP. Check and see if you have it because it's a great online radio

station. Anyway......mom and I had a great time at the rodeo last night. We

didn't have trouble with parking or traffic or anything. We found the place to

park first and then we went to eat dinner. We had Ninfa's and for being Mexican

food we did NOT eat bad. The food was okay but just tasted like it was missing

something. I don't know how to explain it. I had to add salt and I never use

salt. Oh well. Could have done worse. We left there and went to the rodeo

shuttle and arrived at the rodeo at 6:30. We walked around the OVERPRICED

carnival and then went shopping. Mom bought her a cool Texas bracelet that I'm

sure you'll get to see it at SRD. We then went to find our seats for the show.

We watched the actual rodeo (Bull Riding, Calf Roping, etc.) and that was

actually interesting. The concert was great actually! Neal McCoy was awesome! I

enjoyed him the most. Charlie s can play the fiddle but you couldn't

really hear him sing over the loud music. Lee Greenwood didn't sound that good

to me. He sang 4 or 5 songs that were not good but the last two were great and

OF COURSE God Bless America was amazing. It was Armed Forces Night so that was

really nice to see. When the show was over we left and visited the Army

helicopters and tanks and etc. that were outside the stadium. We walked around

some more and then headed to THE HIDEOUT which is a club that they made inside

the Astrodome. You actually got to walk onto the field of the Astrodome. They

had a band and TONS of people. It was a HUGE " club " with a HUGE dancefloor. I

never thought I would be standing on the floor of the Astrodome in a club! ! !

We didn't stick around there for very long. No one was dancing and the band was

no one we had heard of. I was hoping they'd have a DJ playing Country music. Oh

well. Maybe on the weekends. We left and went back to the shuttle and headed

home. There was no traffic and no lines. It wasn't as crowded as last time but

of course last time we saw and Dunn and I guess they are more popular!

LOL! We got home around 12:30. We had a great time and I actually enjoyed the

artists I wasn't looking forward to seeing! :)

Have a great weekend everyone! I have a garage to prepare for and put on plus

I'm working overtime Saturday and Sunday. Before I know it it'll be Monday

again. BLAH!

Your TOPS Pal, :)
