Guest guest
Dear all, I am wondering if i can use Vinpocetine instead of using SSRI medicine. Both increase the blood flow to the brain, but Vinpocentine is safer than then SSRI drugs. Any information will be much appreciated. Guest guest
I've used vinpocetine. Works very well and has lots of studies behind it, and specifically studies about improving blood flow to the brain. It also works very well in conjunction with nootropics like aniracetam and piracetam. But with any of the racetams, you must supplement with phosphotidyl choline as it is a choline depleter. My husband took it for 3 days without choline and got the worst headache of his life. He never did that again. But the really great thing is, nootropics are great for managing ADD/ADHD. This is what I use it for in my son. One of the best things for him. But as with most things, it's not a cure for ADHD, it just keeps him off things like ritalin or adderall and it isn't habit forming.
