Guest guest
Hi Carolyn, how you doing? I am planning on going to the Denton retreat again this year. There are a few from my chapter going so will be nice. and its not that far. I enjoyed both the retreats that I have been on and have learned alot, but then let it slip sometimes. I sure was scared at the last retreat in La tho with the storm and all, I was ready to leave when I got there but when those La girls stayed and they had more to lose than I did they gave me the strength to go on. I kept watching them and figured if they could stay there when their family and homes were in danger than I could too. But I was still scared!! Thank God it wasn't as bad for them as they thought it was going to be. I have a friend in Ca that went to Terris retreat out there last month and she said it really lifted her up, but thats what Terri does. Glad to hear from ;you, Hugs, Jackie -- Att:Melody/Retreats I just wanted to put in a plug about retreats. It is well worth the money to attend one especially one that Terri Ord is the director. She is such a loving caring person. I attended the Denton and Lake retreats. Jackie and Elaine was there and you can ask them if it is worth it. Let me tell you about my experience getting to the Denton retreat, well I caught the bus, the bus broke down, Joyce Lange was to pick me up at the bus station and she was worried to death thinking something has happened to me when I didn't show up. The minute I walked into the meeting room it was like I knew everybody there even though I had never meet anyone there. I told the director that and she something I will never ever forget. " She said I felt that way because I was at a place at that time in my life where I belonged." Anyway with the exception of this year I plan on going to a retreat every year.
