For any Aussies (living in/near Sydney) Crew Members, who may not have been advised,

I received a letter on Friday from Gissing - Member Support - Neuro-fibroma-tosis Association of Australia advising that at the next meeting of the Acoustic Neuroma Association, a Dr Chang of St s Hospital would be talking. He has just returned from training at the House Ear Institute in America and talking about new options for treatment of AN's to preserve hearing and some of the controversy around surgery vs radiation therapy. That should be interesting. He also has info on the latest developments in NF2, which he may not address until the next meeting. It's on Sat 24 March - speaker starting at 1.30.

Apparently there are a number of NF2 members attending. Should be interesting.

The information has probably all been discussed by the Crew, but as it's not far for me to go, I will be attending.

Just a thought, Rosemary have you joined the Association. It's worth joining, their phone number is:

(02) 9874 0844. Just in case you haven't.

Regards,

ine

Thanks ine, no I haven't joined, and I will try to attend, it is a 2

hour drive for me and I will have to organise all the kids sporting

commitments. Be great to meet you, and boy do I have some questions..

Great timing with some other stuff I have been trying to get Westmead to

follow up.

Is this the Dr Chang that Marie was talking about?

Rosemary.
