Guest guest
Thats great Kate! Maybe they can suggest a different neuro for you that doesn't have such a long wait too. , mom to Hannah, DOCband #3 3/30 Cape Cod, Ma > I just got the phone call from the neurosurgeon's office. Guest guest
Kate, I just read your other posts regarding trying to get in to see the neuro; my goodness, July? I agree with the other reply to try to get on an appt. cancellation list to try and get in earlier. Is there any other specialist you could be referred to that might also handle a helmet band prescription, such as a plastic surgeon or craniofacial spedialist in your area? Is there any way your pediatrician would consider writing the prescription? I think you are making a good decision in going for a consultation at Cranial Tech. With the specialist appt. so far out, it would be helpful to get at least some idea where Lilly stands as far as severity and whether or not banding would help. Maybe they could even provide you with some other specialists names you could try instead of that one neuro, that might not have as long a lead time for appts. Since I am late replying to your post, I guess your Cranial Tech appt. is today... please post when you get a chance to let us know how Lilly's evaluation went! Guest guest
Hi Kate: My Cranial Osteopath wrote the script for my daughter, which saved the neuro wait. It worked! The helmet was out of pocket for us anyway (a " deductible " item) but we ended up maxing our deductible and getting the 2nd helmet paid for.... Good luck! , Rhiannon's mom (DOC grad, tort-free, and doing GREAT!!!) > > I just got the phone call from the neurosurgeon's office. It is > > taking forever to get in to see them.
