Guest guest
Cathina, as i've been away since Thursday this is the first time i've had a change to read any posts at all from this list. Now, i'm not on any sides or anything i just want to give some friendly feedback! Your original post was vague. You have responded a few times going in further detail but as such details weren't originaly shared people have nothing to go on but what they see. I can understand having a tight budget! Believe me, i know, i'm in a very similiar situation right now. I do a lot of my shopping at discount stores. There are such stores as dollar general, aldi, save-a-lot, mor or less and shop and save, that sell groceries at cheaper prices. You can make a money saving switch from ground beef in your meals to ground turkey! Aldi sells 1 pound rolls for just 49¢ each! It's great you are doing portion control and adding vegies to stretch it. Thats the way to go. Also if i need chips or something crunchy i munch on pork rinds! I don't eat a whole bag but there are zero carbs in pork rinds, and bags are pretty cheap at those stores. <<as I resent being told not that there is a possibility, but it is a near-certainty that if I have a half a candy bar a day I'm going to lose limbs or worse by the time I'm 30>> I honestly didn't see anyone say anything of the sort. Heck i eat sf jello, pudding, freeze pops (found sf at wal-mart and screamed in delight), sf ice cream and the occasional hershey miniature. I certainly don't think that candy bar, or the small piece of cake i had yesturday) are going to kill me or cause my legs to be sawed off. If anyone did say something to that effect then yes that sounds very much like a negative outlook on life. And you did say another very good thing. You acknowledge that you can't eat huge amounts of these carb filled foods and that you need to eat smaller portions and lose weight. And thats great. You are taking that first step. And no one can change immediately. You are taking the right road with gradual positive changes and are doing something about your health. That doesn't sound crazy to me, it sounds sane and logical.
