Hi. Officer Lambert was 21 yrs old. How horrible!! anyone on the list from

Wellston, OH?? May god bless the family, friends, and co-workers of Officer

Lambert.

Wonder how the other officer is?

^^Officer Lambert was killed when her patrol car collided with another patrol

as both units responded to an emergency call at 0130. The accident occurred

at the intersection of Second Street and Ohio Avenue. Officer Lambert was

ejected from her patrol car and sustained fatal injuries.^^

Officer Crashes Into Another Cruiser, Dies

Both Were Responding To Emergency Call

UPDATED: 9:24 a.m. EDT July 21, 2003

WELLSTON, Ohio -- A Wellston police officer died Monday after her cruiser

collided with another police cruiser while responding to an emergency call.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol said that the crash occurred at 1:30 a.m.

Office Kelli L. Lambert, 21, was driving east on Second Street in a marked

cruiser when she collided with another Wellston Police Department cruiser,

driven by Officer Jered Warrens, who was driving south on Ohio Avenue.

According to the patrol, Lambert was ejected from her cruiser and died as a

result of her injuries sustained in the crash.

Warrens was treated and released from Holzer Medical Center.

The crash remains under investigation.

suicide at his home Friday morning, officials said.

Beyer, 49, was found shot to death in the backyard of of his Carolyn Circle

home at about 8 a.m., City Manager Tony Massey said at a news conference.He was

found by his wife . The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation is conducting

the investigation. At a morning news conference, authorities say there is no

motive and no suicide note was left.

serve in that post until a permanent replacement could be found.

Wampler, who will temporarily return to the department on Monday as chief,

said the news was shocking.

" He was always so upbeat. Craig is the last person I would ever thought this

would happen to, " Wampler said.
