Reply to Lori re Widex v. Phonak

We recently purchased Widex for my 9 year old. She's an experienced HA user

and AVT grad who is mainstreamed. I had my heart set on the Phonak because

I loved the Microlink that looked like part of the HA. But my daughter

hated the Phonak - said they sounded " microphoney. " But she loved the Widex

from the get go. It could be that the Widex sounded more like her old aids

or that the Phonak weren't programmed just right. And she's a stubborn kid.

But she got to the point where should wouldn't even wear/try the Phonak, so

we got Widex. For what this is worth, I really doubt the Widex are

actually better than the Phonak, but my daughter preferred them.
