Guest guest
Oh yeah. I dont think my mother bought herself presents, but she always bought me what SHE wanted me to have. Even if I specifically said I didn't want something, she made it a point to insist I have it. She knows I do not like cococut cake so she made it a point to make that for me on my birthday. Then she got mad and called me an ungrateful brat because I wouldn't eat it. Ahhhh, the woes of having a borderline mother. In a message dated 3/14/2010 11:33:15 A.M. She wouldn't even let me have my own birthday! > > So today is my 35th birthday (Big One!) and true to form, this is Nada's day. On my birthday, she always buys HERSELF flowers, a cake and presents! ALL HAIL NADA!! Yes, I'm glad that she squeezed me out 35 years ago, but it pretty much went downhill from there. Still, as she says " this is a special special day " . Hee hee. > > At least this year I'm laughing about it. I feel the best I ever have today, and I am so grateful for those who truly love me. My life is becoming what I've always wanted it to be. This is due in no small part to the healing I've experienced this year. Guest guest
yup, same thing here..nada would buy a gift for me that SHE wanted me to have...usually it was tacky, cheap stuff and if it was clothes, it would be old lady style with Hawaii print or something bold and mis matching in color Jackie Oh yeah.
