Guest guest
Just wanted to let everyone know, that i received my free sample of these extend bars and they taste great! They are more like a granola bar instead of the soft chewy crap out there! There are 30 carbs in one bar but their claim to fame is the slow absorption of carbs! When i ate it i tested after an hour and then two hours, having no jump in my bg levels! And it filled me up for my snack at work! > 2 Free Extend Bars For Diabetics > 1 Chocolate And 1 Peanut Butter > Still Valid ! > http://www.extendbarworks.com/dev/Default.asp > Aol link
Guest guest
they are also to be used to retard the dawn phenomena....well, I tried them 2 nights and my BG's were higher than ever....so, it just goes to prove...each diabetic is different tish in NJ Re: Freebie - Extend Bars Just wanted to let everyone know, that i received my free sample of these extend bars and they taste great! Guest guest
did you test low at bedtime? These work best if yu are below 100 as you are going to bed,,,where you have the potential to go low with your liver dumping " sugar " to feed yur brain...with the steady release of glucose from the extend bar the liver never gets that signal. I think of them as dense Rice Krispy Bars...and I enjoy them as my late afternoon snack when I know it will be at least 6 or 7 pm before I have dinner (we don't get home until 5:30-6pm) and I had lunch at noon...6-7 hours is too long to go without eating... I don't like granola bars, so I wouldn't think to call these bars like them...I like the Pure De-lite bars that I found at the health food store...it's a chocalte caramel snack that is so enjoyable... tastes like real chocolate/caramel. just my two cents ~ Jeannine > they are also to be used to retard the dawn phenomena....well, I tried them 2 nights and my BG's were higher than ever....so, it just goes to prove...each diabetic is different > tish in NJ > ----- Original Message ----- > From: MyFavorIts1@a... > Just wanted to let everyone know, that i received my free sample of these extend bars and they taste great! Guest guest
I got mine two weeks ago. It does work for me as claimed. The bg's did not display a spike, but it does curb your appetite Re: Freebie - Extend Bars Just wanted to let everyone know, that i received my free sample of these extend bars and they taste great!
