Guest guest
Laurie...I have bought the tape you are describing at a wig shop in our local mall. My mother who is a hair dresser has gotten it for us in places like Sally's which is a beauty supply store. Allana will be 3 in Feb. and boy the tape has worked wonders. The trick is to not get it on the hair, because then it won't stick too good. The hearing aids will stay on all day, unless they are literally pulled off. At least that's been my experience. Allana is a very active little girl, too. Bobbie

(Such as Sally, Milo, or whatever.) Here's the Sally Beauty Supply stores in WA...to see if there's one near you. http://www.sallybeauty.com/search/process.asp?txtZip= & txtState=WA We preferred the brand Top Stick (came in a little yellow box, in pieces the size of Band-Aids) to the big roll. I would take one strip, cut it into six or eight pieces, about the width of a hearing aid, and viola. My mom bought it. When she told the woman what it was for, they got to talking, and the woman gave it to her for like 50% off. It was so sweet. We only needed that one box, didn't even finish it, I don't think, and it was like $3.50. However, it doesn't hold aids on firmly enough that he wouldn't be able to pull them off, and once he does, you'll need a new piece of tape. That said, it saved us from a LOT of feedback. Guest guest
Hi, I buy the tape at a wig store. My daughters audiologist also said you could use two sided picture tape which can be bought at Kmart or somewhere like that. As far As the toupe tape, I have only been able to find it at wig stores. Hope this help. Priscilla > >Reply-To: Listen-Upegroups >To: " Listen Up " <Listen-UpEgroups> >Subject: toupé tape >Date: Sun, 31 Dec 2000 16:54:28 -0800 > >Where do I find toupé tape? Guest guest
I have to add to this topic. I was contacted earlier this month by an audiologist who told me about a roll-on called It Stays, because she thought I should add it to the website. She said you can get it from medical supply places and some pharmacies. In her words, " This product is great because it is an adhesive especially made for use on the skin. Also, if the hearing aids come off, you can re-stick them without having to re-apply the adhesive. The parents that have used this have really liked it. " http://www.supportshop.com/itstays.htm Hugs to all. I hope you all had a safe and wonderful New Year. Happy 2001! Kay
