Hi

I am on thyroid medication for 5 years and have had CU for

two and a half years. I definately think there is a corrolation to thyroid and CU. Alot of us on here have that problem. The drs. i guess dont think so. We have to do alot of investigation on our own since all the drs. do is give us RX for antihistimens. Half the time I walk around so tired if I have a bad day I take benedryl and it seems to help alittle especially if I am very itchy. Of course I am tired at work when I take it but I cant stand to be itching all the time

I just had my TSH level checked. Within the lab's normal range of 0.30 -

4.70, mine came back at 3.12. I also have the anti-microsomal

antibody. My doctor is against prescribing hormone replacement

medication because my level is " normal " . However, I have noticed

certain symptoms of hypothyroidism such as hair loss, cold sensitivity

and slight depression (NOT TO MENTION THE CUA I'VE HAD FOR FIVE

MONTHS). My doctor is referring me to an endocrinologist despite the

fact that she thinks my case is " normal " . If I have any chance of

developing hypothyroidism and am seeing the symptoms now, I want to be

proactive and minimize the risk NOW; a concept she just doesn't grasp.

Has anyone else faced this issue?

Thank you

4 Zyrtec, 4 Tavist, 4 Benadryl, 4 Claritin a day Plus a nasal and oral

inhalent. How does that grab you? I have thyroid trouble., You are right,

there must be a correlation.

Hi

I thought I was right about the thyroid only because there were so many on here with that problem. Now if they could only solve our CU. It would be a miricle come true.
