Guest guest
Okay so I have been off work since last thursday because of my wig out session that left everyone including myself frantic. I started HC 12 days ago after switching from Isocort. Most things are better aches and pains gone, less dizzy, I can breathe through my nose and have stopped caughing up lung cookies. I still am having major panic attacks, still dizzy and shaking. I have been keeping a log of all the medication I am taking. I tried to go to work this morning and was doing okay until I got to a red light and I started shaking like a leaf. I had to pull over into a parking lot and call work and tell them I was freaking out and shaking all over the place. I then called my poor husband and we talked as I went through the wigging out session. I had to stress dose 15 mg HC to calm down enough to drive back home. There is nothing like spending 45 minutes in a parking lot where all of the businesses are closed and freak out. I honestly don't think that HC and I getting along and was wondering if switching back to Isocort would be the next step. I took my morning dose at 6am of 7.5mg HC and 2 grains of armour. I have been doing good on 7.5mg HC 4x a day. I also am up to 4 1/2 grains of armour a day spread throughout the day. I had to stress dose at 8:05am. Should I switch or give this more time to adjust? I feel liked a wipped puppy and not knowing what I am doing wrong is frustrating as hell. I am very sleepy now and think I will go lay down for a while to relax some. Thanks,

We have had some crummy weather here like in the 80's for about 2weeks and it has been in the 40's and 50's as highs. I don't know if that has anything to do with me soooo cold or not. Guest guest
>>I have been doing good on 7.5mg HC 4x a day<< But you have NO cortisol rythym this way which is why you are having problems. Try this 12.5 - 7.5 - 5 - 5 I suspect oyu need alot more cortiosl and this is why you are hacing these symptoms which are nothign but low cortiosl symptoms. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/
Guest guest
, I had something like this today - this morning at work. I didn't do anything different than usual as far as meds, but around 8 a.m. started feeling funny, kind of shaky. It wasn't bad, so I held off stress dosing to see if I could just tough it out, and I did. I took my usual 5 mgs. of HC at 9 a.m. and I settled down even more. I am wondering if psychologically we are reacting more than our body is? Not sure, but I am better now, though not quite what I am usually, so I am going to stick with my normal med schedule for the rest of the day. Maybe sometimes we over-react and get in a tizzy? I do that at times about other things, so maybe this is no different? I don't really know, but am throwing this out there b/c of my morning exp. today. C. BTW - I felt like I needed to up my Armour, but taking 2.5 grains at once is a bit much for me; makes me hyper, so I added 1/4 grain in at 9 a.m. and it is working out very well; did this a few days ago; the doc gave me 5 grains to " play with " as he put it, so I could raise if I needed to. I will hold to this for a few weeks to see how it settles out. So far so good; today was the only bump so far.
Guest guest
The question is why do we over-react sometimes if we are normally not the over-reacting type? I was always the cool as a cucumber type and now I can fly into a rage over nothing. Definitely an adrenal reaction Lynda Re: Increased anxiety on HC????? > , > I had something like this today - this morning at work. Guest guest
Personally for me, if I think about it too much, it happens. I can make myself have heart palps. I can be fine, then all of a sudden I start thinking about it, then it happens. If I take deep breaths, I can usually stop them. Its a mind thing for me. I am the over- reacting type. Or I should say, I let things bottle up, then I blow. Also something else to think about with night sweats. I've always had them, but they were going away. We then got a new mattress, one of those dormias. Well let me tell you, those mattress do not breath. That is the only way I can describe it. I sweat so bad that I am ringing wet (not to be gross). When I went to visit my dad in FL, nothing, no sweats at night. Strange hu? Dana G > > > > The question is why do we over-react sometimes if we are normally not > the over-reacting type? Guest guest
>>I was always the cool as a cucumber type and now I can fly into a rage over nothing<< Rages can be from several things. Too much thyroid, HC or just your body has not adjusted yet, or too much Testosterone from low thyroid.I have gone through ALL the above at different times! -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/
Guest guest
Then I think it would have to be too much testosterone because I have been like this for the last few years, long before armour or hc Lynda Re: Re: Increased anxiety on HC????? > Rages can be from several things. Guest guest
Low Adrenal can cause rages. Read Fat, Fuzzy, or Frazzled by Shames, MD & Karilee Shames, Ph.D., RN.....I mistyped before crediting the book to Christianne Northrup when it was these 2 authors quoting Dr. Northrup in their book. -- Re: Re: Increased anxiety on HC????? Guest guest
You must not be red headed like me, hehehe. I wrote on another group tonight; it occured to me that it could also be hypoglycemic. Another thing I did this morning that I just remembered tonight was that I ate a cheese stick and some nuts and that also really helped. I don't know if that is what is happening with you, but it might be worth a try. Like you said, maybe an adrenal reaction; sometimes it takes patience and persistence to find the dose we do well at. I started with Isocort, which I think helped to prepare me for HC when I switched. I am NOT the cool as a cucumber sort; too redheaded for that, LOL!!! Guest guest
This is definitely not the case for me. I know that when I have these symptoms, something as simple as the phone ringing can give me anxiety and panic. Not normal......definitely related to these crazy hormones. wrote: , I had something like this today - this morning at work. Guest guest
I just got my Canary Club results back and it showed too much testosterone - I was kind of surprised. Is this usually a result of low thyroid?? wrote: >>I was always the cool as a cucumber type and now I can fly into a rage over nothing<< Rages can be from several things. Is this usually a result of low thyroid??<< It is very common in hypo. Fix the hypo and it tends to go back to normal. I really feel it is related to the adrenals though I have not investigated why. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/
