Well.......I made a new years resolution this year...and I was supposed to start

on Jan. 1st.......I weighed in....but lost motivation....Then yesterday...I

found you guys....so I'm determined to actually start today....and I was 4

pounds heavier than on the first!!! UGH!!! If I had only started when I

planned...I could be 4 pounds down instead of up! So much for putting things

off!

Welcome! What's done is done. You are starting now, that's what counts.

I'm Gena, 37, married 19 yrs, have Niki, almost 19 yr and Cassie 12

yr. I have been struggling with my weight since Niki (19) was born due

to an inactive thyroid and other things. At my heaviest I was 284, Oct

2000, so far am 203. The key is to not think about the numbers on the

scale as much as changing your lifestyle. Work on habits, portion

control, getting more active, things like that. I suggest going through

lots of old posts. There is great info there! How much do you want to

lose? I am hoping to lose at least 40 more this year. I know what you

mean about the being 4 lbs heavier. I actually got down to 195 last

year and then lost focus and crept back up to 208 at times. I started

this new year off the same weight I did last year! but instead of

kicking myself I'm just getting re focused and getting in gear. I can't

say it enough, habits, lifestyle are key! Think about the health

benefits of eating better and more active. It is about more than just

weight loss. Be happy!

Gena
