Guest guest
~ The hardest part of it all is the having to wait part. Some of us get dx'd pretty quickly. Some of us have to go through so much ____ just to get an answer. I was one of those who had MS for several years before getting a proper dx. I've had Dr.s tell me it was stress. Some said I was seeking attention, I've had a couple come right out and tell me it was all in my head; others said they just didn't know. But, once I found out it was MS, I was better able to cope with it. I had a pretty good idea that that's what I had before the Dr.s told me. As for having a family and children, MS doesn't mean that you can't have that and a family also. You just have to make sure that you get with the right person. (Should be like that even without MS) And one of the things I found about being pregnant and having MS, is that I never had a relapse during pregnancy. I actually never felt better! I loved being pregnant! And only after one pregnancy, did I have a relapse after the birth. My baby was about 6 months at the time. But, I was married to a good man at the time, and he was very helpful with the housework and child rearing. We have a few people here in the group who are still waiting to find a dx for their symptoms. Poor Cassy, has be having difficulty for about 4 years and still hasn't gotten a firm dx. as far as I know. She is also around your age. I know you are going through a very rough period, and this can be very emotionally draining on you. You will get through this though and you'll cope. And if you ever need anyone to talk to, you can always talk to me, or anyone here. I'm lifting you in prayer. Love and blessings, Val tiffany hester wrote: Hi Val, I do not see how you cope, on top of MS...As I said, I am 25 with no children, was planning to wait until I was at least 27 or 28 and find a decent mate...But now with all that I am going through, all of that is out of the window...I do not know how I will take it whether it is good news or bad news....Good news anymore would be, yes our guess was correct, you do have MS...Bad news, yet another I am not sure, lets wait it out and see what happens....I am fed up with lets wait and see what happens...I am ready to put a name to what I am experiencing, that way I can begin to deal with it and get on with my life...I know MS is not a death sentence, but at my age it pretty much feels like one. tiffany charmelle hester Never miss a thing.
