We spent the day at NOPCO. saw a differnt ortho. He

immediately said her helmet needed some adjustments made. We waited

for about an hour and he came back. He trimmed the ear flaps and the

top. It is still crooked which he tried to say is normal to help her

head mold. However, orthoamerica emailed me earlier saying that it

isn't normal to be crooked.(I sent them pictures.)But they said it

shouldn't affect the outcome and to have it checked at her next

adjustment. I'm not sure if it will be much better. I guess I'll

wait and see in the next few days.

It is MOST definitely NOT alright for her band to be crooked!!!!!!

It could be applying pressure to her " good " side, making it flat.

You really should DEMAND she get a new band at no cost to you!

I hope this gets better for you. I can't believe all that you're

going through, it makes me furious!

Hi ,

I'm glad they finally agreed, and tried to fix their mistake, but

most def the band should NOT be crooked and it does, and will affect

treatment. Please make them get a new band at no additional

cost. Make sure that the person doing the casting/scanning knows

what they are doing so the fit will be right. You will not be able

to go back in time and fix what has been missed.

Good luck

I am going to tell you in " Dustie Way " here.

It is not OK to have a freaking crooked band on your baby's head!

It's not! It can make the headshape worse than what it already is.

I'm not sure who emailed you from Orthomerica but I would certainly

question this! It's not a proper fit by any stretch of the

imagination! I'm surprised at how calm you are. What I am not

surprised about is that this has happened and that the reasoning you

are getting fromt he ortho and Orthomerica is " oh, it's fine " .

Please tell me honestly, do you think 's band looks like any

of the Correct fitting STARBands in our photo file? Or on

Orthomerica's website? I personally think that if it is ok to have

a band fit like s, Orthomerica should put a picture of it on

their website.

I'm sorry, things like this just royally make my blood boil!!!!

I would definitely ask for a new band. It shouldn't fit crooked. Please

let us know what you find out.
