Will She Really Do It?

I bought my bp daughter a pair of pants today for her new job that

she begins Monday. She had to have a certain kind. Yes, if she'd

not gotten fired, she'd either not need them, or have the money to

get them herself!

However, I consider it a small price to pay for MY continued freedom

from her living at home and messing with my life and the rest of my

family.

She was apparently in a retrospective mood, and talked about her and

her boyfriend moving about 2.5 hours from here and living with a man

who is not his biological father, but he consider him his " dad "

nonetheless.

The boyfriend has actually signed up to take the GED exam in July

(shock), and they are BOTH thinking of attending adult ed together

(another shock). More shocks to follow . . . they're BOTH talking

of college, or at least two years of a technical school, then

finishing a degree. He wants to be a policeman (amazing), and she

has always wanted to be a teacher (shudder).

They both like the idea of " starting over " somewhere new. I told

her that because she is who she is, that no matter where they move,

they will take their problems with them, because they take

themselves!

However, she talked about getting married to the guy early next

year. Her conversation was actually somewhat mature, and she told

how she and her boyfriend were tired of the " immaturity of their

friends " and their constant partying. She seems to feel " old " in

that she is finding less and less common with the high school kids

she hung around with.

Anyhow, I am cautiously optimistic. It would actually help me if

they moved, because I wouldn't be seeing her as much, and thus she

would be less of a disruptive force in my family's life.

Of course, I really do wish her the best, but we'll see if ANY of

this comes to pass . . . LOL She is a liar and very manipulative.

Oh, well, I hope everyone has a great weekend, and takes some time

to take care of themselves and the non-bp members of your families!
