Guest guest
Hi everyone, I e-mailed my ortho today. Just got a reply. My molars are flared or tipped outward so that chewing has become non-existant. They don't line up with the rest of my " tooth line " or my bottom teeth. Is this normal? The ortho said to wait til my next appt. to check it out. I don't remember going through half this much trouble the first time in braces! First the bands around the molars and now this! Must be the age. Wondering how Cammie is doing??????
Guest guest
- , welcome to my world! My surgery was put further off than it could have been because my third molars did not line up with the rest of my upper arch! I was so mad! So now the race is on to get them in line for my 7/31 date. The ortho never touched them until the surgeon told me we couldn't do surgery until they were lined up. I wore braces when I was 12 and they never touched my molars then either.
Guest guest
Lady B, Not only did she touch them, they are now way out in space! I actually bite down on the sides of the upper now! Can't imagine this is normal. She said that they will all line up eventually. Great!! How could your ortho not notice yours??? Or did they think they would fix them after surgery? I've only had the braces since April 22. Things sure move fast in my mouth it seems. > - > , welcome to my world! Guest guest
my ortho assumed I think that she could line them up after surgery. But, the surgeon felt that if she did that it might throw off his (my) bite.
Guest guest
How long to move them? > my ortho assumed I think that she could line them up after surgery. > But, the surgeon felt that if she did that it might throw off his (my) > bite. Guest guest
Its been one month and I go to the surgeon on Monday so I'll find out then if we are good to go-which we better or I will literally lose it.
Guest guest
You poor thing! Guess I'd better be happy we are adressing mine upfront, ha? I'm not even scheduled yet. I did find out that my surgeon's office is working on the pre-authorization letter. Our insurance excludes TMJ (which I have mildly) and craniomandibular deformities (whatever that is). Not sure how they are gonna code it. I never even realized , until this board, that alot of my headaches came from my jaw problems. Doctors never mentioned it. Hoping this will fix alot of things! Good luck with your molars.....Irish sending her vibes? > Its been one month and I go to the surgeon on Monday so I'll find out > then if we are good to go-which we better or I will literally lose it. Good luck on Monday, . I can so relate. I'm going to the ortho tomorrow morning to see if I'm still " on " for August 5th. Cheryl
Guest guest
--- Hi , sorry to hear that you are having a spot of bother with your molars not lining up. I'm sure they will be able to sort the problem out for you ;] I don't think my molars line up particularly well either but sure they have lots of time to sort out these things. as we're both not having surgery until next year, right? Let me know if you've got any more news about what they're going to do for you, take care, Annie (your orthognathic buddy) In orthognathicsurgerysupport@y..., nicetosmile <no_reply@y...> wrote: > Hi everyone, I e-mailed my ortho today.
