Guest guest
lol I know just what you mean about eating. I couldn't tell you the last time I ate something. I scarf everything down. Always in a hurry and I see no signs that this will change anytime soon. I've kind of gotten use to after 9+ years. I'm glad to hear that likes the bumbo seat. Especially now that you can scarf your food down without him crying at you. Guest guest
LOL ! Dinner with little ones sure is fun! I wish I could tell you it gets better, but it hasn't yet for us and Hannah is 20 months old. I keep a blog for her and actually just wrote about that same thing: http://jumpingin.typepad.com/jumping_in/2004/08/bon_appetit.html That will give you a glimpse of what you have in store if you dare to imagine, lol. I'm so glad the Bumbo is helping though. Anything for a few minutes of being able to relax and eat! Do you have a Baby Safe Feeder? We used to give that to Hannah w/whatever we were eating once she was old enough and she loved sucking away on it. Be sure to post a pic of in his Bumbo! , mom to Hannah, DOCgrad Cape Cod, Ma > The bumbo chair was delivered on Wednesday afternoon. likes it > as long as I'm talking to him, so I put him on the floor just outside > our kitchen (where it's carpeted), and he can see me while I do the > dishes and cook dinner! > > Also, since his tolerance for tummy time decreases in the evening, > and Mark and I don't get to eat usually until about 7:30, which is > only an hour away from Chris's bedtime, we've gotten used to him > crying during our dinner. Guest guest
, Yeah! I'm glad it's allowing you to have a " leisurely " dinner -LOL. I can relate and na is 14 months - just warning ya it doesn't get any better. Because of all the raves on the board I ordered one for my dear college friend. She had her second baby in June. She knows all about na and is somewhat paranoid about head shape (I wonder where she gets that from). Anyway I told her I had the perfect gifgt to give her a couple of free hands. : ) I can't wait for it to arrive. mom to na DOC Grad SC --- In Plagiocephaly , " rmlabarbera1 " <rmjeschke@h...> wrote: > The bumbo chair was delivered on Wednesday afternoon. likes it > as long as I'm talking to him, so I put him on the floor just outside > our kitchen (where it's carpeted), and he can see me while I do the > dishes and cook dinner! > > Also, since his tolerance for tummy time decreases in the evening, > and Mark and I don't get to eat usually until about 7:30, which is > only an hour away from Chris's bedtime, we've gotten used to him > crying during our dinner. Guest guest
, Glad to hear likes his new Bumbo. Hopefully he'll tolerate it for longer periods of time so you and hubby can have a nice long dinner. --- In Plagiocephaly , " rmlabarbera1 " <rmjeschke@h...> wrote: > The bumbo chair was delivered on Wednesday afternoon. likes it > as long as I'm talking to him, so I put him on the floor just outside > our kitchen (where it's carpeted), and he can see me while I do the > dishes and cook dinner! > > Also, since his tolerance for tummy time decreases in the evening, > and Mark and I don't get to eat usually until about 7:30, which is > only an hour away from Chris's bedtime, we've gotten used to him > crying during our dinner. Guest guest
Hi , I'm soo glad you guys have found something to have a nice dinner. Gosh do I know how that goes. Mine still screams... lol She is mobile though now. Just knows when to hollor I guess. Another thing that I wanted to share with you was our TT story with Willow. She had torticollis and NO tolerance for TT at all. What I would do with her is to put her on her tummy for only a few seconds at a time, and pick her up before she got frustrated or tired. After a few days of this she started building up tolerance. I think if they have success, then they start liking TT. Didn't take very long, and she liked to play on her tummy. Guest guest
Hi, just to put my 2p worth in! We got a Bumbo last week and even though my son is eight months he doesn't sit yet unsupported. But with the Bumbo he's finally not lying on his head so much anymore! I love it, wish I'd have had one before. About dinner time: since having my first one almost nine years ago, my husband and I eat really really late, like right about now (9:55pm), so that is our leisure time of the day! No kids, no noise (depending what is on TV!), dinner and more often than not wine. Gotta live.... :0) I know this wouldn't suit everyone, but I love having this time of day to myself - selfish ey??? Lol to all you plagio kids mums out there - love reading this board! Guest guest
, That's great news that the Bumbo is allowing you and Mark get to have a relaxing dinner!!! I just wanted to post and pass along three other ideas for keeping baby entertained in the Bumbo shared by members. They are: Placing toys on a breakfast tray in front of the Bumbo so that they are easy to reach, Placing the Bumbo adjacent to a baby gym's overhead arches to get the dangling toys within reach, and placing the Bumbo in front of a mirror to help entertain baby. If you come across any other Bumbo ideas, please post and share! Take care, Christie (Mom to Repo'd Remy) > The bumbo chair was delivered on Wednesday afternoon. likes it > as long as I'm talking to him, so I put him on the floor just outside > our kitchen (where it's carpeted), and he can see me while I do the > dishes and cook dinner! > > Also, since his tolerance for tummy time decreases in the evening, > and Mark and I don't get to eat usually until about 7:30, which is > only an hour away from Chris's bedtime, we've gotten used to him > crying during our dinner.
