Guest guest
Hi Reverend, Welcome to the Crew, there is number of terrible NF2 people here who need " straightening out " especially over Texas way. Something we'll have to straighten out is - with NF2 we don't have Lisch nodes - they belong to NF1 - don't get me wrong as we could use someone like you on the " Crew " . Please make sure that you have been diagnosed correctly....by what you are saying it sounds more like NF1. Anyone live in that state that can give him the name of a good NF2 doctor..... Aussie . Guest guest
Thanks for the note I am sure that I have been diagnosed correctly w/ NF2. Although Lisch nodes are not common in NF2 primarily, they can occur without the manifistation and complication of found in NF1. I have 2 in my right eye, but I assure you, from the 15 surgeries I have had since 1988, NF2 has been correctly diagnosed at Houston, LSU, Ga Medical College, and my slides have been sent and evaluated the NIH. Looking forward to more conversation w/ you. Again, thanks for the reply. Larry New Member Rev Larry Clements > > > > Thank you for getting in touch with me. Guest guest
Hi Larry! Welcome to the crew. You have come to a great place for support and information. I, too, am sick of surgeries (and I have only had three). Well, I think it's not so much the surgery as it is the slow recovery and healing afterwards. Hang in there my friend. Blessings, ~<><~~

Guest guest
, Are you saying all of us NF2 people in Texas are terrible and need " straightening out " ? It does sound like the Rev. Clements has NF1 not NF2, but I didn't want to step out of line and say anything when I don't know all of the facts regarding his NF. I believe Rev. Clements said he was in South Georgia not Texas so he would need a recommendation for a doctor in Georgia not Texas. Also Rev. Clements may want to go to the www.nfinc.org website or www.nf.org website. They have bulletin boards and chat rooms he may be interested in to communicate with others who have NF whichever form it may be. Good luck Reverend and I hope everything goes well for you.
