Guest guest
The number one thing that is blamed for teeth graying are antibiotics. Love and prayers, Heidi N My son's teeth are gaining a gray coloration, we noticed it a week ago. He's 6, has no cavities at all, and brushes teeth everyday. Our biomedical work: Multi vitamins and minerals (for 1.5 years) MB12 (for 1 year) Royal Jelly and honey (3 years) Zinc+Iron+Folic acid capsules (10 days) Any idea what may have caused this coloration, and is it temporary? Guest guest
I think grey teeth are an indicator of too much flouride???
Guest guest
One other thing that temporarily turned my daughter's teeth grey (and I noticed it in on your list) was an iron supplement... The excess flouride leading to grey teeth is usually a longer build up and I think it's usually the adult teeth (it's a big problem in the Chesapeake Bay area of Virginia which is why it jumped to mind right away - sorry if that was off track for you). - Kati
Guest guest
I see. We don't have Flouride added to our drinking water. It might be the Iron supplement. Do you know if it will go away on its own or should we use whitening methods on his baby teeth? Guest guest
Noura,My 6 year old son is on the GAPS diet and has the same problem. I've asked this question on the GAPSHelp list and the feed back I got was that its temporary and related to the shifts in bacteria in the body. My son has had this going on for several months now. We see both a colour change and a grey material that can be brushed away. I and others have noticed that their child tends to regress when the teeth look the worst. Do you see any behaviour changes along with the colour changes? Ed I see. We don't have Flouride added to our drinking water. It might be the Iron supplement. Do you know if it will go away on its own or should we use whitening methods on his baby teeth?
