I saved my birthday and floating holidays this year so I could be off this week to spend time with my family - we have cousins visiting from England. Well, I should have known better than to make plans like these, because last Tuesday I came down with the flu and the worst cold I have had in 16 years!!!! It figures - oh best laid plans I am just hoping my sister and brother and their families understand when their gifts aren't there until after Christmas. Everyone keep safe and if in the cold regions keep warm. It is supposed to be 75 degrees here Thursday!!!!! Guest guest Posted December 23, 2003 Report Share Posted December 23, 2003 The last christmas I had off was about 9 years ago.. and I also ended up with the worst cold/flu I had ever had.. miserable.... Thats the last time I even thought of trying to get christmas off!!!! I always work christmas, day shift, so its not too bad, if someone invites me for christmas dinner I still have plenty of time to join in!! Hope everyone has a great holiday season!!!
