Guest guest
Hi, I just joined this group over the weekend. My name is San and I am 49 years old. I had my first mammogram about 3 weeks ago. It showed microcalcifications, so I was called back to have a spot mag. This showed that I have calcifications eihter in the arterial wall or near - they can't tell which. My gyn is concerned and has sent me for a surgical consult, which I have this Wednesday. I can find a lot of information about calcifications, but it is all rather vague, saying it could be cancerous and it is possible that it is not. Can anyone tell me about their experiences with these? To say I am frightened is an understatement, and comments like " don't worry about it until you see the surgeon " simply do not help. Thanks!
