Guest guest
Interesting, we just posted about bumps on my sons face as well. I am wondering if these are like cold sores but on his face? Strange. They are not near the mouth, but do resemble that type of a clustering of sores. If you dont mind me asking what did you use as a dosage for " treated daily with antimicrobials like GSE, OoO and OLE " ??? Also what is OoO? Aha Oil of Oregano! Right? But does your son take capsules? because mine refuses! And these all taste horrible~! And did you put anything direct on the bumps? Or internally? Thank you Jacquie > > About a week ago, I felt the start of what I thought were a few pimples to the bottom left side of my lower lip. They felt like pimples, not like a cold sore, but then it developed into what looked like a cold sore with little blisters that eventually turned into scabs, which are now healing. If it were a cold sore, I must say, it healed awful fast! I haven't had a cold sore in about 8 years, but I remember having one that seemed to last what felt like ages!! And I thought they felt sort of burny....well, anyway, I have been using a lot of things daily like OLE, GSE, black walnut hull, etc, just for a general cleansing and I know I have latent viruses to address, so when this popped up, I added some lysine in, put a bit of wheat grass on it and voila, healing. I didn't really think twice. > > The strange part is now today my 5 year old son, who is being chelated for heavy metals and is also treated daily with antimicrobials like GSE, OoO and OLE, woke up with a very similar looking rash on his cheek, but in a much larger area and with smaller blisters. He said it didn't itch, but it definitely started out blistery. I put some what grass on it (encourages increased cell rebuilding, great for healing wounds) and gave him a double dose of lysine and it seems to be getting more faint already. > > This has me questioning, if it really was a cold sore or if it's something else. Guest guest
I don't know...my son was recently very ill and he had these painful sores in his mouth. He then developed a high fever and more sores. He could hardly make a sound and he also couldn't eat, but luckily, he drank, which was such a blessing. I think this is something different but our homeopath thought my son's had to do with Herpes virus. I have heard that rinsing with hydrogen peroxide and water mix is helpful. I have also heard good things about Collodial Silver, but I don't know enough about it to recommend it. I hope you figure this out.
Guest guest
sounds just like what happened to my son a number of weeks back. not quite a cold sore -more like pocs. then they disappeared as fast as they appeared. though the spots on his nose still become inflammed. I think it's viral. herpe-ish maybe.-TammyTo: mb12 valtrex Sent: Mon, August 16, 2010 2:56:14 PMSubject: Strange cold-sore like rash? Guest guest
Our son is 5 and has been treated with antimicrobials for over a year and a half now, so I would advise you to start slow and work up with anything new you are introducing. With that said, I am using the following doses, three times a day, of these items: GSE - He gets one 125mg tablet (which he swallows) from Nutribiotic, plus during our rounds of chelation, I add an addition 4 drops of Nutribiotic liquid GSE, which he takes in a syringe of aloe vera juice OoO - yes, oil of oregano, ha ha ha - We have worked up to 4 drops in that same syringe of aloe vera juice OLE - olive leaf extract - we use one 500mg capsule from Swanson Vitamins just int he morning, but sometimes I add a second later in the day, if he is fighting a virus We only added the Lysine since he got the rash and use it if he gets a mouth sore - I give him about 500-1000mg broken up into 3-4 doses throughout the day, we found a pure powder form at Bio-Alternatives. We also LOVE their liquid OoO!! This of course is all internal, but for the bumps, externally, I dabbed my finger in our morning wheat grass drink and applied it topically. It has cell regeneration properties. He still has the faintly raised areas on his cheeks, from a distance they look like welts, from close up, it's obvious there blistery little bumps that make up the " welt " . It's much less pronounced today, but still there. > > > > About a week ago, I felt the start of what I thought were a few pimples to the bottom left side of my lower lip. Guest guest
I was thinking a form of herpes too....oddly though, he has no other symptoms of any sort so I am not thinking he is reacting to another virus of any kind. We also do chelation, but only with the kids, not myself, so it wouldn't explain the similarity in look and timing of what I got right before him. > > sounds just like what happened to my son a number of weeks back. not quite a > cold sore -more like pocs. then they disappeared as fast as they appeared. > though the spots on his nose still become inflammed. Guest guest
My first thoughts are hand, foot and mouth virus...there is an outbreak where we live...the best time for infection is late summer and early fall. It is highly contagious even if you don't have the blisters. Incubation period is 3-7 days. Hope this helps, Jen > > > > sounds just like what happened to my son a number of weeks back. not quite a > > cold sore -more like pocs. then they disappeared as fast as they appeared. > > though the spots on his nose still become inflammed. Guest guest
I think it depends on your taste, because I just can not handle the GSE, but I love the OoO, ha ha ha. I use it to brush my teeth even. The GSE is so bitter to me so I am grateful for the tablets, ha ha. I don't really focus on taste, which I know sounds funny. My kids are just used to having to take it all together, they don't have options so I am not sure, if it's hidden well to be totally honest. They both have even taken the OoO straight, as hot as it is. My two year old has been taking it in aloe juice for a good six months with no problems. I guess this just depends on how the parents handle their kids' rejections. When my two year old went through a rejection phase, I had two ways of handling it, one was to hold out on whatever it was he wanted until he complied, when that didn't always work, the alternative (and I would always give him the option of complying or the " take down " method) was me pinning him down on his back with his hands by his sides (me straddling his body). After squirting it in his mouth I would smile and say, " Seeeeee, not so bad, good job big guy!! " Off he would go, back to playing. I don't make it a mean experience, but I don't make taking antimicrobials (which to me are considered a necessity like a med to a heart patient) optional. JMO though. > > > > > > About a week ago, I felt the start of what I thought were a few pimples to > >the bottom left side of my lower lip. Guest guest
Hmmm, if it was that, it was REALLY mild. Today is the second day with his rash and I put concentrated wheat grass juice on it again, but this time I let it dry there for a good hour and now it's gone!! And it was raised again this morning so that is a significant difference. I will be curious to see, if it's still gone tomorrow morning. > > > > > > sounds just like what happened to my son a number of weeks back. not quite a > > > cold sore -more like pocs. then they disappeared as fast as they appeared. > > > though the spots on his nose still become inflammed. Guest guest
Could your younger guy have some sensory issues? Sensory issues in our house always means yeast overgrowth. The aloe vera should help keep the BMs more normal actually. It heals the gut and it's also an antimicrobial. I just use it as their base for dosing so they get just under 1 teaspoon three times a day, each. > > > > > > > > About a week ago, I felt the start of what I thought were a few pimples to > > > >the bottom left side of my lower lip. Guest guest
Older kids don't get HFM as bad as the little ones (3 & under). We were just at our peds yesterday and she said some 5-7yr olds can get it but some may not even show any sypmtoms. She also said that kids who were exposed already will have some immunity when exposed to a second entovirus and have very mild symptoms... > > > > > > > > sounds just like what happened to my son a number of weeks back. not quite a > > > > cold sore -more like pocs. then they disappeared as fast as they appeared. > > > > though the spots on his nose still become inflammed. Guest guest
Yeah, it looked a lot like a cold sore and if it was, I am amazed how fast it healed. I am still waiting for mine to heal a week later, it scabbed over and now that is unsightly, but I treated my son's faster with the wheat grass and WOW, it went away in one and a half days! It's gone today, totally gone! It was welted up and everything and it was at least 2 inches wide by 1.5 tall!
