Also the kids I've seen who improve usually respond to the gfcf diet and MB12. Many of my friends have been doing biomed and therapy for many years and at 7 and 8 we are still hoping our children will one day speak in complete sentences (or just speak in many cases) or function socially. >> I think the best, most realistic approach to take it to know that recovery is a > real possibility but just like any other chronic condition it will have to be > monitored and there will be times throughout life when extra care will have to > be given and of course, a healthy lifestyle style that includes excercise and > healthful eating and sleeping habits. Guest guest
My husband has been following "The Secret" and the Law of Attraction. It is sorta quantum physical stuff. Anyway, you are supposed to put positive thoughts out to the universe. (Completely hard, I know)So, for instance instead of saying "why isn't my child getting better? why is my child so sick?" you would ask yourself positive questions or make positive observations. Now, coming up with them can be difficult. !!!! He's way better at it than I am. Perhaps you could say "wow, it is amazing these biomedical treatments are healing my child from the inside, out" or "I am healing my child and she will thank me soon." Anyway, I know it's hard to take that all in.I had two miscarriages after these two "healthy" pregnancies... I didn't understand the why... After the second one, I demanded blood work and found out I have the MTHFR mutation, which I would have never learned if I hadn't had the two losses. But not only that, if I hadn't learned that when I did, I would probably be seeking anti-psychotic mainstream meds for my kids rather than healing their bodies. Now I feel like my lost pregnancies were for a reason, to help me find a way to heal my two here.So I have to remind myself positive thoughts daily, "My children are getting well" instead of "why are my children sick?" --- ToniTo: mb12 valtrex Sent: Mon, August 23, 2010 11:04:50 AMSubject: Re: Re: The many doctors - Recovery Histories I PROMISE YOU.....this one will bring you peace. Guest guest
That's beautifully put Toni... I have a small sign hanging above my kitchen sink that says, "Expect a miracle." And I do! Every day we're getting closer to uncovering the real issues at hand and every day brings a new hint, we just have to be open to them. Our midwife says that unplanned babies pick the families they join. We always figured our youngest picked us for the excellent big sister she would receive but now we figure it's for the crazy (or tenacious?) mother she got... Being her mother has taught me more about my body in her 3 years of life than I've learned in my other 34. What a blessing.- KatiMy husband has been following "The Secret" and the Law of Attraction. Guest guest
As odd as this sounds, it really does work. Just like the phrases: believing makes it happen, have faith and patience, and all that stuff. I relate this to the Bible, which says these phrases often. Thinking positive somehow opens up your mind to new ideas and the ability to make good decisions and to understand the flow of things. Everyone has a story, or rather there own struggles in life. This reminds me of the phrase: A calm sea never made a good sea captain. All this navigating is teaching us lots of things and making us better people. Having a positive attitude does attract positive things. Love and prayers, Heidi N My husband has been following "The Secret" and the Law of Attraction. It is sorta quantum physical stuff. Guest guest
My aunt is one of those hippy star-children types LOL, she's 70 now or so.She always said the unborn souls pick their families ;-)I feel blessed to have my daughter. She is my *clone* and I know everything my mom did right/wrong in raising me,and I *get* my daughter. (I am lucky she is verbal, for sure, but believe me we still struggle. Everything is literal here.)Anyway, I have felt that her baby brother was truly a special gift to help both of us. I believe his presence has helpedher communicate. I am not sure she would have been as "almost NT" as she is if it were not for him.{{{hugs}}} --- ToniTo: mb12 valtrex Sent: Mon, August 23, 2010 9:17:55 PMSubject: Re: The many doctors - Recovery Histories That's beautifully put Toni... Guest guest
My husband says that your brain cannot NOT answer a question. So if you ask yourself positive questions, you can only think positively. For instance, my daughter was afraid to sleep last night, and he told her to ask herself "why am I so safe inside the house?" instead of "what happens if there is a fire/bad guy/bad dream/monster" etc.I am just sharing this... believe me I have felt annoyed by it sometimes too. Because this lecture above came after I just freaked out at my son for building a fire-trap on his new night light (which I had told him not to mess with multiple times.) So uh, my bad for making them upset before bed... thank goodness Mr Quantum Physical helped me out. LOLLove your sea captain reference. :-) --- ToniTo: mb12 valtrex Sent: Mon, August 23, 2010 11:26:17 PMSubject: Re: The many doctors - Recovery Histories As odd as this sounds, it really does work. Guest guest
well you have to eval a few things with that then, would kids on speical diets from celiac then NOT be concitered recovered or those still with food allergies with out ever having and ASD label...... if you are RECOVERING from autism the definition would be to NOT have autism any more if it's recoverying from ALL the damage it would be fully restored health Re: The many doctors - Recovery Histories unfortunately though the only two classical homeopaths getting results with our children are Pierre Fontaine and the Ullmans in Washington (ritalin free kids). The skill lies in the homeopath having success with autism, and not just prescribing remedies to mask the symptoms (we use One constitutional remedy) and the skill in case taking to find the correct silimium. That is where Pierres talent truly is, in finding the correct constitutional remedy. it was interesting as I was telling another MD about our experience the other day and two sentences later he was trying to sell me on hbot, see I don't think he got it, we are going no further at this point and most likely will never have to. I gotcha Heidi! It truly is a learning curve, and with so little info. out there it is even tougher. We are looking to fully write our stories and put them online for people to access, many times when someone is FULLY recovered or cured they simply move on with their life and dont share with others. Pierre has had that happen many times he said. I told him how I understand that the internet and autism cannot dominate once the condition is lifted, we owe that to our children and families, however I feel it is my responsibility to a community that got me through so many dark days to re tell our experience with homeopathy. much love and healing, xoxo Beth in Brooklyn> > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > I am getting crazy with all the different opinions...
