Guest guest
Has anyone witnessed behavior changes in there kids when they give them cortef? My daughter is on 2.5 mg just once in the am (7:30). This is day 4. This morning she took it with yogurt and a lil milk. She says she feels fine and that her stomach does not get upset. Anyway, I didn't time the reaction change but I swear about an 40 minutes or so after giving her the cortef she was in full swing mode. She has been in a really really good upbeat mood since I reintroduced the cortef. It's strange. Anyway after the 40 minutes had past I gave her her Armour. And she is just now eating her GF cereal with an orange, lets call it lunch, lol. She is home today from school because we are going to the doctors so eating schedule is a little off. But usually in the morning before I started giving her cortef, it would take her an hour just for her to eat breakfast. Getting her out of bed and moving was a task I tell you. Anyway, I am going to try to get a Dr's note for her to take another 2.5 mg of the cortef at school right at lunch(11:30 am). This way I can up her cortef doses gradually and consistently. If I can't get the note how in the heck am I going to increase her doses? I would have to wait until 3:30 pm for a second dose if that were the case. Thanks all,
Guest guest
No note!! Blech!! So no dose at school. I hope she doesnt end up needing one. You know I think I royally screwed my daughter. I should have stayed with the Dr we were with. Dr No blood work..and I should have treated my self for my anxiety when he told me to. Maybe my daughters adrenals would be healed by now! What chances do I have for an endo wanting to treat her adrenals? > > I am going to try to get a Dr's note for her to take another 2.5 mg of the cortef at school right at lunch(11:30 am). Guest guest
I know one gal that puts her daughter's meds in GUMMY BEARS! But she is old enough to remember to take them herself, yours is a bit young for that. I would be brow beating a doctor. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/
