Guest guest
Hi all, Very disappointing day for me today. Glad I can come here to " talk " . I woke up this morning and realized that one of my teeth was kinda achey. I looked inside and noticed that one of my eye teeth had a steel tie missing. I also noticed that the tooth had moved quite a bit. This could have been happening for awhile, but I just noticed today. Called the ortho and he took me in right away. Well, after looking at my teeth, he said, " There is a very strong possibility that this will delay your surgery " . (*@$(*#)()@(_(!#@_)#* & %( & ^%^ !!!!! I told him that I wanted him to do whatever he could to prevent that and he said he'd try his best. He had to change the wire and force that one tooth back and tears were running down my face it hurt so bad, even with taking Motrin before I left. By far that was the most painful ortho appointment I ever had. Tonight will be a bi*ch. Once they were done, the pain had settled down and it's not bad at all right now, but during: (*#$(@)T% & ^ & !(* Anyway, he said to keep my 1-hour pre-surgery visit with the surgeon next Wednesday and the surgeon can tell him if I'm still ok to go. Could got either way, but the ortho sure didn't look encouraged. I think he feels there's simply not enough time in the next three weeks to get that tooth where it needs to be. He apologized profusely, then explained this has never happened in his entire career (great, it happened to me, though) and said he's not sure what happened (tie could have been loose or cut somehow with something I ate). So I'm in complete limbo once again. Sorry to post a downer, but take note that I haven't given up, I am thinking positively as if things are going to go as planned. You know I'll let all of you know how next Wednesday goes. Just goes to show you that this whole process is such an emotional rollercoaster and your patience is tested over and over. I thank you all who have helped me in this journey and I'll get there. Irish. <=== just don't feel like a ! right now.
