Guest guest
First CONGRATULATIONS!!!! I just hunted a quick search and found this info abotu cortiosl levels during pregnancy: >>Salivary cortisol profiles exhibited a clear circadian rhythm during pregnancy with an increase in mean salivary cortisol from the 25th to 28th week onwards reaching concentrations in late pregnancy more than twice as high as in non-pregnant controls, rapidly returning to normal concentrations after delivery.<< SO I would say you may need a tad more now as you wil need abotu double by the end! I just hunted a quick search and found this > info abotu cortiosl levels during pregnancy: Wow, that was an interesting link. THANKS! Wow, double? That's incredible. I've been so worried about taking too much. Okay, I'll increase a little. What do you think? 5 mg at a time? I should have also told you that my daytime temps were quite stable until just this week, now they're starting to fall again. Reminds me... does anyone know if a pregnant average temp is still 98.6, or is it higher in pregnancy because of the increased progesterone. Mine were very stable, and averaging 98.2 (until just recently), but I'm wondering if even that was too low. Thanks! ~Anne
Guest guest
>>Prior to ovulation, a woman's basal body temperatures generally range from 97.0 to 97.5 degrees Fahrenheit. Temperatures are suppressed at this time due to the presence of the hormone estrogen. After ovulation, due to the production of the heat-inducing hormone progesterone <http://www.webindia123.com/health/women/pregnancy/method/bbt.htm#>, temperatures rise to about 97.6 to 98.6 F. This rise in temperature indicates that ovulation has occurred. Your most fertile day is the one immediately before the rise in temperature. This method can be best utilized along with other fertility signs such as a pain or ache felt on one side of the lower abdomen, to be accurate. When a woman is pregnant <http://www.webindia123.com/health/women/pregnancy/method/bbt.htm#>, her temperature remains elevated throughout pregnancy <http://www.webindia123.com/health/women/pregnancy/method/bbt.htm#>. This test can also be used to know whether a woman is ovulating or not. If ovulation does not occur the normal temperature remains static always.<< From this site: http://www.webindia123.com/health/women/pregnancy/method/bbt.htm -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/

I hope you can keep posting how you're doing through your pregnancy and after you give birth. I wanted more kids, but since finding out about my hypo and adrenals postpartum I was afraid I was finished having my family b/c I felt so bad. You give me hope that I can do it again while being on meds for adrenals and thyroid!! At the time I didn't know what was going on, but since finding out my adrenals were trashed I found that third trimester my son was helping my body with his adrenals and I felt better than I have in many years....only to fall flat on my face after he was born. I'm sure both my poor kiddos were born with worn out adrenals M _______________________________________________ Join Excite! - http://www.excite.com The most personalized portal on the Web!
