I do take Prilosec, 20 mgs twice a day. But, for the last 6 months I've

had to take an extra pill to stop the burning. Dr. Bone suggested I

take 80mgs a day for the next two weeks and see if that helps. Dr.

Foroozan, Gastro Doc, will let me know if I should do that when I see

him on Wed.

You know I got to thinking... which can be dangerous, isn't the doomy

that runs all the way down just another muscle? I'm sure it's weak from

the disease. Don't you think?

I already sleep on two pillows to keep everything down where it's

suppose to be. Dr. Foroozan might have another thought as to why my

glands feel like this. I was just surprised to hear that others are

complaining of somewhat the same thing.

My glands aren't swollen, they just feel like it and I really notice

them when I turn my neck. If I lay my face down on the pillow it

bothers my glands, makes them burn. The CTscan showed no swelling at

all. It's so strange.

Of course nothing I have ever done is easy.....

I usually have a sore throat and tongue and sometimes I get the white

spots on the insides of my mouth. I use Peroxide to control that.

Why thank you ... I consider this our little family... I enjoy so

much to hear from all of you and what is going on with you.

I do think the clinic should put a sign in the lobby with my name on it

for the most visits.....lol

Cari... Your should win an award for the best little guy. I'm

telling you he's been through a lot. I also remember last year the same

thing happened.... that one really burned after you put it on him. My

gosh, what can you try next?

Vicki...what's GERD? Annette

Mike... I tried to send you a " Congrats " card, but I guess it didn't go out.

I'm really lame when it comes to managing the computer. I know there are

fun things to do with it, but it's all trial and error (mostly error) for

me! Anyway, congratulations on your first anniversary! Annette

Thanks, Vicki...I have that, but never heard it referred to as gerd. Nasty

thing, especially when my symptoms were at their worst! The " audible

belching " as I called it was so embarrassing. My problem is much better now,

but I do get heartburn often and sometimes food and pills won't go down

comfortably. Thanks again! Annette

RE: GERD

Good Morning Annette....

This sight will explain how gerd works. This is a very common disease.

I've tried paba free and everything else. I had forgotten about the Oil of

Olay moisturizer. Shame on me. SPF 15 is better then nothing and maybe a

moisturizer will do the trick. I will try again as soon as this go around

calms down. His skin was worse today and I know the benadryl makes him feel

a little loopy but the itching was driving him crazy. I kept him home from

Preschool again.

Thanks for reminding me about the Oil of Olay. If that doesn't work I guess

it's onto the Clinique counter for $20/tube stuff.

Hugs, Cari

I was on something for it years ago, but I take nothing for it now because

the prednisone seems to help it. I don't consider it much of a problem for

me any more because it's not as frequent as it used to be. What do you

take? Annette

Cari... Have you ever tried a product from the Kay line? I know my

sister, her daughter and even her husband use those products and really like

them. I don't know how expensive it is, but maybe you could send for a

catalogue or brochure. (My brother-in-law has rosacea, that's why he uses

the Kay stuff.) Annette

I take Prilosec for it and it's been progressing eventhough I take the

Prednisone. I don't want to keep increasing the amount of Prilosec that

I take. Tomorrow will tell what the doctor will do with me...
