Cathina - I'm so glad to hear you took charge. One positive thing I notice

by the people who participate in these groups is that they will not let their

doctors steamroll them. I had my fair share of being brushed off by my

internist and only by insulting her and pissing her off did I get a referral to

my

endo. Guess she just wanted to get rid of me. Whatever it takes....

Hi Cathina,

Your numbers are probably coming down because of the different doctor. The

relationship you have with your doctor plays a big role in how a person will

handle any illness, be it diabetes, cancer, or just a simple cold.

When a doctor is kind, considerate and thinks of the patient as a person

rather than just a number, it makes the patient want to try harder to do

everything the doctor may suggest. A good doctor is willing to listen to

questions,

suggestions, etc. If a person does not have a good relationship with his/her

doctor, they are wasting their time and money and they are wasting the doctor's

time.

I've got one of the best team of doctors there is. I love everyone of them.

hugs

Eunice

Hi Cathina,

Good for you for sticking up for yourself. You have to advocate for

yourself. My doctor gave me a lab slip to have my cholesterol checked and I

am not going for a few more weeks because if it is high I want to give it a

chance to drop some because I do not want another medication thrown at me.

I have 3 nasal sprays for allergies, weekly allergy shots, the bp medicine

to protect my kidneys, and glucophage. That is enough for me! No more

please LOL (course my testing supplies to)
