Guest guest
I'm sure somewhere there is a list of the critical KSAs (a federal government term for Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities). We seem to disagree somewhat on here on the value of techncian level skills (IVs, Intubation, Bandaging, CPR, etc.) versus the knowledges required (English (written and verbal communications), math, algebra, A & P, etc.). The " a college degree makes you a more rounded person and better critical thinker " crowd and the " education doesn't help me start an IV any better " crowd are never going to just come to an agreement. BUT, if there's an accepted list of what's required, that might be a point of departure to start talking. The point of course in getting some agreement on what it takes to make an EMS Professional. -- Steve LP IT Instructor Trainer AlertCPR Emergency Training Center 2300 Highland Village Rd, Suite 340 Highland Village, TX 75077
