Guest guest
Okay, I have one more thing to say about reusing syringes and then I'll drop it.... everyone has to do what works for them..and maybe either way is right....but....... If you don't clean your syringe, especially the needle, I'm assuming that you insert the used needle back into the vial of insulin for your next dose...now they go to a lot of trouble to make sure these vials of mecdicine are sterile...they even make the tops out of a resealable substance so air will not enter and carry bacteria in with it...I know that you are supposed to inject air into the vial which always seemed a little scarey to me...but it seems to be something that has to be...but re-entering the vial with a contaminated needle seems to be one source of contamination one can avoid.... Once more..I will say that everyone is entitled to their own opinions on this and you do what you feel is right for you.... I just felt the need to educate a little further...
