Guest guest
I foolishly allowed my virus protection to expire. (Although I had kept up with my Windows updates.) Bought " WinCleaner " and have spent the last two weeks fussing with computer lockups, having to reload Windows (and all the updates), etc, repeatedly. (Their explanation is that I was still running another brand of virus protection even though my machine assured me I had deleted it.) So, went back to Norton by Symantic last night. I have the Bugbear virus and the Wetlavia (or something like that) worm, both of which Norton messaged me about (repeatedly) but cannot remove. (It says it quarantined Bugbear but can't do anything with the worm.) I followed all of the " simple " instructions, but they tell me since I have DSL (which is not automatically connected) the DSL was be disconnected to try anything more. Is this just pulling connections at the back of the modem or what? ________________________________________________________________ The best thing to hit the internet in years - Juno SpeedBand!
