Val, you mentioned you are giving your cat Armour. How much, how often, etc. and

do you need to worry about adrenals?

I have a cat who is definitely hypo, and very much. It just dawned on me the

other day.

I always thought she was sick because I was very " good " about getting her all

her vaccines, including the tons of kitten ones. Well now that I know she has

thyroid problems, I suspect it was the mercury in the vaccines, not just a bad

reaction to one...

Anyway, when she was 2, she started vomiting a lot and gaining TONS of weight.

The doctor gave me some med to help with her stomach. I ended up switching her

to a raw diet, and she never throws up anymore. If she gets ANY canned or dry

food, she still throws up within 5 min. every single time!

I measure her food, and she doesn't get any more than the other cats. She has

lost some weight, but is still overweight. She is 11 years old now.

She always lays on the heaters.

She is very ornery.

Her muscles are very weak. She can't jump onto counters, etc. It takes her a

while to jump onto a bed!

Her bladder also leaks anytime she is sleeping in a spot for a long time. I

didn't even know this was a hypo symptom, until someone on the NTH mentioned

having it. We tried a med once for this, which increased her breathing, etc. so

we ditched it. We just keep baby crib pads on the back of the couch where she

sleeps. It is a pain, but what choice do we have?!

Okay, so she is definitely hypo! If humans can't even get treatment for it, how

is a cat going to, especially when hypo in cats is " rare " ?!

Thanks,

Olif
