Guest guest
Had MRI's done last week and good news! Only one new lesion found on my brain in 18 months!! Wooohooo!!!!! So, guess this could be the beginning of some much needed good news in my life. Really wish and I could recieve like tons of it in the form of him a better job and smaller things like my dad's health improving and my migraines to finally ease up. 3 weeks of migraines is enough to drive a person mad. Neuro said it is to be expected. What do you guys think? Anyone else have bouts of severe migraines like this?? Anway, taking this opportunity to just check in with everyone as well and to say hello and welcome to all the newcomers that I have so rudely ignored!! So sorry to all of you for that but welcome to all of you. Val and Challis will tell you I am very delightful when I choose to join in instead of lurk!! LOL Love to you all!! Guest guest
Tammy, Migraines, for me, are a big part of MS. There are times when I think they're never going to go away. I've been very fortunate for the past 5 months though. I've gotten headaches, but not migraines. I don't understand why I get them so much. I guess it's like other MS pains that come along with the disease. Don't let anyone tell you that MS doesn't hurt. I had a Dr. tell me that once and I came very close to giving him a "what for". I hope you find relief soon and I will be lifting you in prayer. Lov.e and blessings, Val The residual attributes that we pass down to our children may not be in our genes... but in our souls. Guest guest
thanks, val. gonna call my docs nurse and get her to ask him for a temp rx for tegretol and see if i can't kick this bout of migraines in the butt once and for all. i've taken almost an entire small bottle excedrin since they started in july so i think i've had enough. all he can say is no. the imitrex didn't touch it. Guest guest
I used to take Topomax for the migraines. It did kill the pain, but the other side effects we're not worth it to me. It left me feeling groggy, and unable to concentrate. It also made food and drinks taste terrible. Of course, may be a plus. LOL A person can't gain weight if they're not eating, right? I hope you find some relief soon. Believe me, I know what you're going through. Anne and and a lot of us here do, as well.
