Guest guest
Hi Sasha The casting really sounds and looks worse than it is. Take a bottle or a paci or maybe a favorite toy and try to bribe. It worked for my daughter. Don't forget your camera. Good luck. I'm hopoing everything goes well. It's going to be a rough day for her. We have a 6 month checkup followed by the casting. She's getting shots at her checkup tomorrow. Poor baby. Can anyone tell me how I can prepare her and myself for this? I'm already planning on packing the baby tylenol for the shots. I just want to make this the least stressful for her as possible. I'm already planning on a rough night (her and her sis have also been teething bad). > > Thank You! > Sasha, mom to 6 month old Naomi (baby A)
Guest guest
Sasha, I wasn't able to bring any goodies for Jaden to entertain him while he got casted just because of the way they do it. But let me reassure you that it's done quickly. Keep reminding yourself while she's getting casted that IT DOES NOT HURT HER even those she is probably gonna scream like my little guy did. When it was done and over w/ I gave him a big hug and had him laughing again in 5 minutes. As for the shots, you might want to ask for something like Anbesol or a topical that helps numb the area so she won't feel the shots as much. I plan on doing that at his next appt. Good luck and let us know how it goes! ~Amy, mommy to Jaden, plagio/mild tort, started CranioCap 4/23/04 > > Hi everyone! > > > > As always, I want to thank all of you for being a great support > during this time. Guest guest
Hi Sasha, Sounds like Naomi's going to have a busy day, hopefully the casting will go quickly! I'm sorry you were not able to get in touch with Kelli regarding her experience at Advanced OrthoPro... you'll have to keep us posted on your impressions of Naomi's progress and the service you receive there. I remember that Kelli was pleased, and she spoke highly of the orthos there. I may be mistaken, but I think their helmet design might have a chin strap (I'm not totally sure.) Please let us know how everything goes. Take care, Christie (Mom to Repo'd Remy) > Hi everyone! > > As always, I want to thank all of you for being a great support during this time.
