Hi everybody, quick question here, when Abbey saw her ortho last

week, he said about another month to go !!! Yeah! And then he said 4

more weeks after that just wearing it at night. Has anyone

experienced this, I have never heard of it just being worn at night.

Any thoughts?

Hello

No, I've not heard of the band being worn only at night. Ours which

was a local band was worn 23hrs a day till tx was done. Maybe you an

ask your ortho why he is doing this?

Hi ,

I have heard other members post about this in the past. Hopefully

someone will be able to give you some insight on it. I can't

remember if it was a local or STARband. I would say that if you're

looking for further correction I'd have her still have her wear it

the 23 hrs. If you're just trying to prevent regression and the

band still fits okay, than I guess night wear wouldn't hurt.

Hi !

I had a similar question not long ago. My neuro said we could put

it on just at night and during naps toward the end of treatment,

but, to be honest, he's never seemed all that into helmets, didn't

know what kind we'd be getting or anything about it when he referred

us for one. He also said to take it off for 15 minutes 4 times a

day, which I've never heard before. So his information may be old.

The ortho said to stick with the 23 hours until we're done

treatment. But I'd ask your ortho a little more about it and see

what s/he has to say.
