Guest guest
Hi , I'd say it would be UHC's claim. With the helmets it is billed as ONE claim, presumably on the day Lake is casted. All the followup adjustment visits are included in the initial price. Therefore whoever is your ins carrier on the day it is casted should be who is billed and therefore responsible for paying for or denying the claim. I hope they pay! Insurance gives me a headache too, lol, and unfortunately I work in a doctors office have to do alot w/billing. Guest guest
Hi , As far as I know - if you are covered under UHC when he first gets his helmet, then they have to cover it. Even though treatment can take a few months, it's billed once - when he actually starts treatment(gets the band/helmet). I hope that made sense. > Does anyone know how it is handled when you switch insurance > companies while your child is undergoing treatment for the band? Guest guest
Hey I do believe that whichever insurance you have at the date of service would have to cover it (if they do). Maybe you can call UHC and see where they are with the claim. Guest guest
For our insurance the coverage for the helmet was determined as the date he received it.
