Guest guest Posted June 15, 2002 Report Share Posted June 15, 2002 I came out with bruising near my right eye due to my doc saying that the bone was very thin so they had to go up further to put everything together. Not sure if it shows up in mine (under ga_1962). There is a long dark mark on the right cheek that shows up in the photo which is actually hyperpigmentation from my pregnancies that I usually have covered up with makeup. I think knowing the truth about what they are going to do helps me to deal with the whole anxiety thing. I am scared, but more scared not to do it. I am tired of the way my jaw sticks out. I have heard all the bad jokes. Ex: Someone actually asked me if I was related to Jay Leno. They said I looked like him with the whole chin thing. Boy I was pissed. I never wanted to leave the house again. Also, I have massive indigestion and I think it's because I don't chew very well b/c my teeth don't line up correctly. I am hoping I will feel like a new person when all this is done. How old were you when you had this operation done? Also, what is genio? And what would you say helped your recovery the most?
