Guest guest
I took my blood sugar earlier 2 hours after eating, and it was 176. About an hour and a half later, it was 146. Is this normal? My fasting blood sugar (less than 8 hours) was 127. These readings seem high. I've even been " good " today. Guest guest
You should be in your normal range 2 hours after you eat. For me, my dr says that's between 70 and 150. Love, Debbie blood sugar? This website from Joslin Diabetes Center has a chart showing what bg's should be fasting, before and after meals and at bedtime. What did you eat when you got the 176 reading? You may be eating too many or the wrong carbs. hugs Eunice
Guest guest
The 176 was 2 hours after eating oatmeal with some sugar in it. But it dropped pretty quickly back down to the 140's. Even weirder, though, is that after I eat ramen (don't knock it; I'm poor), my blood sugar actually goes DOWN. How in the world am I supposed to make sense of this?? ----Original Message Follows---- From: ERWachter@... Reply-To: diabetes To: diabetes Subject: Re: blood sugar? That's why readings are taken 2 hours after eating. Hi Different people peak at differ times. My bg's are usually higher at one hour. If I should get a high reading after two hours, less than another hour my bg's are back to normal. Eunice
